A lot of people thinking of purchasing value-add real estate may think of properties that have 85% or greater occupancy, some deferred maintenance, and have some light interior renovations needed on units.  Over the past several decades, Pankaj Sharma and his family have been taking on some of the toughest multifamily projects, one of which had occupancy around 20% at acquisition.  Pankaj’s real estate investment strategy centered around his company’s motto of “strong, steady, stable” has helped him rebuild communities while achieving incredible success.

 

About Pankaj Sharma:

Pankaj Sharma is a second-generation multifamily owner/operator with over 20 years of experience in the field. His current personal portfolio consists of 2000 units in 5 major cities in eastern Pennsylvania. His latest deal closed in July of 2019 when his company purchased a $50 million fixer-upper in Harrisburg which is the state capital. Recently Pankaj started Sharma’s Karma, a YouTube channel, as a way to document their journey and give back. KarmaKast interviews can also be found on various platforms like iTunes and Spotify. 

Pankaj also shares from his journey of mediation, mindset, and inner work training.

About Dion: 

​

Dion Huey is a Co-founder at Delta Bridge Capital LLC which is a multifamily real estate investment company that invests in value-add apartment communities in the United States. He earned a master's degree in finance at Northeastern University in 2017 and worked on multiple business syndications as a financial analyst for Boston-based Plateau Asset Management which is a private equity search fund that has $30 million AUM. In 2017, Dion was an analyst on a deal team that advised Citic Investment Bank's Hong Kong private equity division on the syndication of a $1.5 billion acquisition of a hotel in New York. He is currently the host of The Multifamily Investor Situation Room Podcast.

In 2010 he co-founded Rocky Mountain Education and Technology Group which is a Beijing-based education services company that has serviced more than 5,000 clients.
